March 2010 FREE Give-A-Way

The Green Team is sponsoring a FREE Give-A-Way drawing of some neat renewable energy products for all Woodstock residents who are currently enrolled with Sterling Planet or Community Energy. Your enrollment can be for either 50% or 100% clean renewable energy. So, if you're not enrolled yet, but wish to be, here's your chance to join and be eligible for our drawing.

Enrollment is to purchase clean renewable energy (80% Wind - 20% Hydro) from either Sterling Planet or Community Energy and SAVE money at the same time each and every month - and we all WANT to SAVE money every month, right?

So, in order to participate, you must register with us on our website under "Upcoming Events" in the right column. If you're not currently enrolled and would like to be, then we've made it easy for you to join in the registration process.

Our goal will be to continue our efforts to increase awareness and the number of households in Woodstock who will purchase renewable ‘green’ energy, until we reach the majority of the households. We are working with several other town commissions to raise awareness to this program and we also hope to be sponsoring another event with the PTA to further increase our member list.

Our program has saved taxpayer dollars, helped Woodstock receive their recent BLOCK GRANT of over $48,000.00 and helped the Board of Education save over $20,000.00 in their energy costs.

Sterling Planet and Community Energy participated in a competitive bid process to become part of the CTCleanEnergyOptions program. Their offerings are the only ones that count towards the program and they are the only offering that is overseen by the Department of Public Utility Control DPUC.
