March 2010 Member Update
Dear [FIRSTNAME],
Woodstock Moves to Starion Energy
The recent sale of Public Power Utility to new investors, has resulted in Woodstock moving to another generation provider - Starion Energy. The Energy Savings Group, initially responsible for introducing the public to the new energy deregulations, now introduces STARION ENERGY. Partnering now with Sterling Planet and the CT Clean Energy Program, STARION ENERGY is now providing even lower generation costs. At a rate now of .0959 cents per kilowatt, it makes sense to switch over to Starion Energy.
So, for those households who have joined PPU as members through our efforts, we have switched everyone over to STARION ENERGY for even more savings.
STARION ENERGY has offices in Southbury, CT and in Waterbury, CT and obtained their license from the DPUC in December 2009. Plans are to expand their services into PA, NJ, NY & MA in the months ahead.
Remember, there are no obligations and no contracts, so moving to another less expensive generation supplier is your right. Please look for the change in your CL&P statement in the months to come switching from PPU to STARION ENERGY.
The Woodstock Green Energy Team is constantly researching ways to save the community money while maintaining the use of clean renewable energy.
